Henrik Kjærulf Jensen is Professor of Inherited Cardiac Diseases and Sudden Cardiac Death at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University (AU) and Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Department of Cardiology, Aarhus University Hospital (AUH).

He obtained his MD from AU in 1988, defended his PhD thesis in 1995 and in 2002, his doctoral thesis. He was trained in Universitätsklinikum Mannheim, University of Heidelberg, Germany (Prof. Martin Borggrefe).

His research focus is improvement of clinical and molecular-genetic diagnosis, treatment and prognosis in inherited heart diseases. He is a member of the ERN GUARD-Heart.
