Patients with mitral valve prolapse undergoing a comprehensive and uniform evaluation will be included in a prospective multicenter international registry and followed-up long-term. Our goals are to gain knowledge in the mechanisms and substrates for ventricular arrhythmias and to improve the identification of patients at risk for sudden cardiac death in this large and heterogenous population.
